It’s time for bed, but first I just need to take a few minutes to enjoy this beautiful moment: for the first time since I returned from my Texas trip at the end of April, I am absolutely caught up! Every single student assignment is graded. Every word of all my homework has been read. These next two days of lecture at school will be bliss! When I return home, the work on my research papers will begin. And, on Sunday night student work will start flowing in again. But, for this minute, I can rest well knowing I have all my work done for right now, and I finally caught up on the backlog of things that piled as I went to the Pop Culture Conference in April and contested with the flu in May. This is going to be a beautiful summer! In just a couple weeks, the summer classes I’m teaching will be complete, and I can spend July and August focusing on my research and writing, as well as attending summer school myself.
